Week 13

Since we were on a little family vacation/road trip to Las Vegas this week, we didn't stop by the house every day to follow the progress. Our neighbor Shirley was kind enough to feed our outside cats for us. When we returned, the drywall for the walls and ceiling was almost all done.

Murus Reparo

The bathrooms walls in the wet areas have been cemented as well:

Outside, the second coat of cement has been applied:

We decided on the color for outer stucco. When we first started, we thought we would like a gentle greenish color for the outside. However, having done lots of online searching, and driving around the neighborhood to look at other houses, and going to the stucco store to compare sample blocks, we changed our minds and decided on a buttery yellow. Green will make the house blend into the landscaping, yellow will make it stand out a bit more. Also, yellow is better for reflecting sun and keeping the heat off the house.

Our final choice: LAGUNA
