Happy Hanukkah

.... and Happy Sinterklaas (Even though there's no greeting for this, according to Nicki).

I'm convinced Felix is a girlie man, as our governor says. He wears leg warmers.

He wears a princess crown.

The other day he just had to reach out and play with Ella's "Hello Kitty" dress. I'm telling you...I don't want to cast aspersions to his lack of understanding of gender roles, but he is, as we say, a little "festive." He should be a manly man, grunting, watching sports, and playing with trucks while smoking a cigar. That's the manly way!

Ha ha ha!!!

But overall, this is excellent news. We will happily welcome Felix as an active member of the Amsterdam community in about 18 years. Look forward to having him a bit closer!

And by the way Emile also wears leg warmers. They keep his legs warm. Nothing 'festive' about that! And he got a doll from Sinterklaas. So he could practice for when the new baby comes. He alternates between hugging it, and slinging it violently across the room.

It's all characteristic of modern day 'metrosexuals'. Apparently.

Come on, Jim. A child of 1 year will wear anything you give it! Actors wear all kinds of things too without being 'girly men'. Scots wear skirts, Arabs dresses. And I'm sure if you gave him a cigar, he'd throw it away because they stink - nothing to do with being manly.
Pity the leg warmers don't actually match the shirt - poor kid's got no chance of developing any dress sense at that rate!!

What do you mean they don't match - yes they do, they are stripey aren't they!

actually Jim, your son MAY be taking after his Dad... you just have no photographic proof of such and can hide behind that! I'll have to have a word with your Mom!! :-D

Hi Nicki, so much fun t read up on Felix and Ella, especially since Julian and Yannick are so close in age. Yannick loves his babylegz and he tries to charm men all the time by smiling cutely. It doesn't alway work though :) Wish you happy holidays and a great, happy, healthy 2008
